Healthy Banana Bread!
With this healthy banana bread recipe, you need a few simple ingredients .You need whole wheat flour and natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup. You can easily make this banana bread vegan or gluten free—by changing some of the ingredients .
You will need:
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, anda little more to swirl on top
1 cup mashed ripe bananas ( 2 large bananas)
¼ cup milk of choice or water
1 teaspoon baking soda
⅓ cup melted coconut oil
½ cup honey or maple syrup
2 eggs
1¾ cups white whole wheat flour or regular whole wheat flour
Optional:
½ cup mix-ins like chopped walnuts or pecans, chocolate chips, raisins, chopped dried fruit, fresh banana slices…
Preparation :
-preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius)
-grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan
-beat the oil and honey with a whisk and then add the eggs
– beat and whisk in the mashed bananas and milk
-add the baking soda, vanilla, salt and cinnamon,
– whisk to blend and then add the flour and mix with a spoon until combined
-any additional mix-ins, gently fold in
now pour the mixture inyour greased loaf pan and sprinkle with cinnamon
-bake for 55 to 60 minutes, (check with a toothpick – insert it into the center and if it comes out clean its done )
-let it cool for 10 minutes and then take it out of the pan and let it cool for 20 minutes
-slice and serve.
